Day 1: Kalka >Shimla via toy train
Kinnaur – Spiti – Chandratal Lake Tour Itinerary (8
Days / 7 Nights)
Day 2: Shimla – Sangla (Approx. 230 km / 8–9 hrs)
• Morning pickup from Shimla.
• Drive along the Satluj River via Rampur Bushahr.
• Reach Sangla in the evening.
• Check-in to hotel/camps.
• Overnight stay at Sangla.
Highlights: Scenic drive • Baspa River Valley • Apple orchards.
Day 3: Sangla – Chitkul – Kalpa (Approx. 90 km / 4–5 hrs)
• Morning visit to Chitkul — last Indian village on the Indo-Tibet border.
• Stroll around the village & local cafés.
• Continue to Kalpa, famous for its Kinnaur Kailash view.
• Overnight stay at Kalpa.
Highlights: Chitkul Village • Kinnaur Kailash Peaks • Pine Forests.
Day 4: Kalpa – Nako – Tabo (Approx. 160 km / 6–7 hrs)
• After breakfast, drive to Nako, visit Nako Lake & monastery.
• Continue journey to Tabo, home to one of the oldest monasteries in the Himalayas.
• Overnight stay at Tabo.
Highlights: Nako Lake • Tabo Monastery • High-altitude desert landscape.
Day 5: Tabo – Dhankar – Kaza (Approx. 90 km / 4–5 hrs)
• Visit Dhankar Monastery (short hike optional to Dhankar Lake).
• Proceed to Kaza, the heart of Spiti Valley.
• Check-in at hotel/homestay.
• Overnight stay at Kaza.
Highlights: Dhankar Monastery • Spiti River • Himalayan views.
Day 6: Kaza Local – Key Monastery – Langza – Hikkim – Komic
• Visit:
o Key Monastery
o Kibber Village
o Langza – known for Buddha statue 🪨
o Hikkim – world’s highest post office
o Komic – one of the highest villages in the world
• Return to Kaza for overnight stay.
Highlights: Monasteries • High-altitude villages • Spiti culture.
Day 7: Kaza – Chandratal Lake (Approx. 120 km / 6–7 hrs)
• Early morning drive towards Chandratal Lake via Kunzum Pass.
• En route enjoy panoramic views of Spiti valley & glaciers.
• Reach Chandratal by afternoon.
• Check-in at campsite (near lake — vehicles can’t go all the way to the lake, small
hike required).
• Enjoy the evening by the lake under starry skies.
• Overnight stay at Chandratal.
Highlights: Kunzum Pass • Chandratal Lake hike • Camping experience.
Day 8: Chandratal – Manali (Approx. 130 km / 6–7 hrs)
• After breakfast, drive via Batal & Gramphu.
• Cross the scenic Rohtang Pass (if open).
• Reach Manali by evening.
• Check-in and rest.
Day 9: Manali – Side seen
• After breakfast, Atul tunnel , solang velley
• After lunch Hidimba devi temple & Vasghisht Hot Spring
• Day 10: Manali – >Chandigarh
